Wychlist iPhone Application: Chicago Company Develops Innovative Shopping List Application Using Bar Code Scanning Technology
Chicago, March 10, 2010 – Developed by Management Innovation, Inc., WychList is a new iPhone shopping list application that uses bar code scanning technology to create and manage grocery lists. Aside from its groundbreaking ability to add items directly to a shopping list by scanning a UPC/EAN bar code, WychList also tracks prices, making the shopper an informed buyer.
WychList minimizes any manual data entry required by the user. Simply scan a bar code and the product’s description and image are downloaded from the internet (if available). There’s no easier, more convenient shopping list application available.
WychList was built with the consumer in mind. As they shop, the user can enter the price of an item on their shopping list. Over time, a product price history is built, including when and where the product was purchased. WychList identifies the "lowest price" of that item and compares it to today's price - providing a savings or overage amount.
WychList allows users to share their shopping list with others. This enables a user to build a shopping list at home and send it to another WychList user (to pick up on the way home, for example) – complete with products, pictures and price history.
